1) Advance Submission Deadline Extended
———-
All but a couple of advance submission readers are caught up and remain open at this time. Submissions will now be done exclusively via email, probably for another week. Couple of late additions include literary agents Jennifer Azantian and Babette Sparr.

2) Working Schedule Posted
———-
The preliminary schedule has been posted on the site. A few holes have been purposefully left as we decide what sessions are most needed to be plugged in this time around. As usual, there’ll be tweaks as we get nearer to conference weekend. Visit:http://writersconference.com/sd/schedule/

3) “BFF” and NovelCram Remain Open
———-
“Best Foot Forward: Polishing for Success,” Jean Jenkins’ 2-part, genre-focused workshop, has a few slots remaining. Also, Drusilla Campbell’s NovelCram: Building the Better Book immersion track is beginning to fill up. If you’ve got your eye on attending either of these, decide soon.

4) Another Book Sold
———-
On the good “muse” front, longtime SCWCer Ara Grigorian’s new adult novel, GAME OF LOVE, just sold to Astraea Press for publication Summer, 2014. The manuscript was edited by Jean Jenkins, the deal brokered by agent Stacey Donaghy of Donaghy Literary. Ara, btw, is conducting the much-anticipated “Scrivener Software 101: Maximize the Value, Minimize the Stress” workshop on Sunday morning.

5) Pick the Right Writer’s Conference
