Last night was a great night.  I really did learn a few things.

Here are the highlights:

We had one guest. Luisjavier “Wuicho.”

Tina brought in brochures for us to take with us and pass out. We will.

Amanda will answer any inquiries regarding the raffles and soliciting donations for the conference.

Gregory asks that if you have any books you want displayed at any events the group attends to please bring one in. This is to have a set in a box to have handy for display.

Book Club

Our new book club, which will meet the 2nd Wed. of the month at Skinny Dugan’s 6:30pm beginning on MARCH 12th. We’ll be reading and discussing books on the craft of writing. The first monthly selection is On Writing Well by Zissner.

This year we have open enrollment for the following positions: VP, Librarian, Fundraiser.

Angelina has been nominated for VP.

Amanda has been nominated for Librarian.

We still have until April 7, 2014 to vote. You need to have been a member for at least 6 months to enroll.

Cynthia introduced herself as the Assistant Regional Advisor for Nevada. Her goal is to gather all writers in Las Vegas and unite as one voice to be heard by the world. Vegas is a great place and we do need a voice as writers.

What they offer is help with authors of children’s books (even if its not children’s books, they can refer you to someone who can help you),
