We’ve got two opportunities to share with you today.
The Golden Quill Awards is now open for submissions. Sponsored by SLO Nightwriters, in conjunction with Central Coast Writer’s Conference and Cuesta College, this is the 26th themed contest. In honor of this, the category of Flash Fiction has been added.
The theme this year is Transformation. Each entry must depict this theme in some manner. Awards prizes range from $50 to $1,000.

The Luke Bitmead Bursary (yes, it’s a Brit term for Prize) is in honor of Luke Bitmead, who died just after his first novel was published. His mother proudly sponsors this contest, the UK’s biggest prize for unpublished writers.
The contest is conducted and managed by The Legend Times Ltd. Group publishers. The entry fees and awards are in British Pounds, and the exchange rate does apply.
