The Black Mountain Institute will host authors Jamaica Kincaid and Caryl Phillips in a panel titled “Crossing the Black Atlantic,” moderated by UNLV Assistant Professor Julia Lee. The conversation will cover how each examines the Caribbean diaspora, the history of the Altantic slave trade, and the questions of racial and national identity in their work.
The March 19, 2015, event will be held in the Philip J. Cohen Theater of the UNLV Student Union at 7:00pm. This event is Free, Unticketed, and Open to the public.
