Each April, the Henderson Writers’ Group hosts the Las Vegas Writer’s Conference. 2016 will be our 13th year of bringing agents, publishers, authors, and industry experts to Las Vegas for a small (capped at 150 people), intimate conference.
What are the biggest changes you see happening in your industry? And how do they impact you?
Everything about publishing is changing. This creates a lot of questions for those writers seeking publication.
What do you want people to know about your work?
With all the industry changes, authors have more opportunities than ever before to maintain control of their projects and create personal relationships with their readers. One issue though, who are the gatekeepers? Who will control the quality? That’s where agents and traditional publishing maintain a leg up over indie publishing.
What are your biggest goals?
Our goal every year is to bring together an amazing faculty who will teach and inspire our attendees.
Who and what would you need to reach your goals fast?
A great, widely known keynote speaker and other top authors and agents to agree to be on our faculty.
Finally, who should contact you and why?
Any writers wanting to improve their craft and network with publishing industry professionals.
