The Master’s Review Short Story Award for new writers is now accepting submissions of up to 6,000 words of fiction.
“The winning story will be paid $2000 and awarded publication online. Second and third place stories will be awarded $200 and $100 respectively. All winning stories and any notable Honorable Mentions will be sent to Katherine Fausset at Curtis Brown in a stylized PDF with cover art and author info. We want you to succeed and we want your writing to be read. It’s been our mission since Day One.”

They are also looking for Summer Readers:
“Do you have a passion for contemporary fiction and nonfiction? Are you looking to gain experience working for a literary magazine? Then consider applying to be a reader for The Masters Review this summer. This position involves a three-month commitment with three to four hours of reading a week. Readers can work remotely and there is an opportunity for bylines.”
