About

The Las Vegas Writers Conference is dedicated to helping writers of all genres improve their craft, sharpen their business skills, and network with publishing professionals. Held each spring at the Tuscany resort in Las Vegas, the conference draws attendees from around the world. Full meals are provided at the conference on Friday and Saturday. Pitch sessions with literary agents and editors are included in the price of registration. Writers also have the opportunity to sit down for one-on-one mentoring sessions with other published authors (Blue Pencil sessions). We hope you will join us this May to take your writing skills to the next level.

When:
The Master Classes are held Thursday morning on May 2nd, 2019. The main conference begins Thursday afternoon and continues through Friday and Saturday. Writers may register separately for additional Master Classes.

Registration:
Opens November 13th. A schedule of courses and listing of faculty will be available on our website at that time.

Pitch Sessions:
Attendees may select one pitch session with an agent or editor and one blue pencil consultation with an author when they register for the conference. There is no additional cost for pitch sessions or blue pencil sessions; they are included in the price of registration. Pitch sessions are 10 minutes in length, and blue pencil sessions are 15 minutes in length. Additional appointments are often available at the conference on a first come, first served basis.

First Page Reads:
Submissions for the first page reads will open March 1st. The first page reads is one of our most popular and informative events at the conference. Submissions are selected randomly during lunch both Friday and Saturday, and read aloud to a panel of literary agents and editors, who then give feedback as to when and why they would stop reading a particular page.

If you have any questions regarding the conference, we invite you to contact us. You can also connect with us by joining our Facebook group.
