Tony Mendoza is reaching out to see if any of you writers, specifically in the thriller, psychological thriller, suspense, genres would be interested in being interviewed on your work.  He’s hosting a podcast right now in support of a film he’s scheduled for shooting in January 2016 (demo: http://lifeinthehole.com/the-ninth-district-by-douglas-dorow/).

The Las Vegas Romance Writers is sponsoring an all day workshop (Story Mastery) with Michael Hauge on November 14th at the Sunset Hotel and Casino.

An upcoming conference in OctoberThe Magic of Memoir: A Weekend of Craft, Process and Publishing.  Brooke Warner and Linda Joy Myers are respected experts in the fields of publishing and memoir writing and have gathered an all-star group of contributors, including author, screenwriter and editor, Amy Ferris (Marrying George Clooney: Confessions from a Midlife Crisis), and writer, editor and activist, Hollye Dexter (Fire Season).

These are teachers I’ve learned so very much from and I’m thrilled to share the news of this event with you.   We are so fortunate to have this group assembled here in Marin County for an enriching weekend!

The Utah Humanities Book Festival is doing a day devoted just to children’s and YA lit on October 10th at the Viridian Event Center in West Jordan. They are still looking for more authors/publishers who’d like to have a table. Space is free since this first year is just an experiment to see how it goes.

They’d like to formally invite you to participate in our annual book festival and literacy events from October 19-24, 2015, Southern Utah’s signature literary event.
