Her topic: What an Editor Does and the Different Type of Editors
Dr. Toni Briegel has been an educator, writer, and editor for an embarrassing number of years. Recently retired after spending 14 years as a professor at Zayed University in Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates, she has begun a free-lance editing business. Her published books range from …tomes full of academic research to poetry. Her degrees are in English, Reading, and Curriculum and Instruction. She attended film school and interned at the University of Arkansas Press. She has served as editor for several educational journals and has edited student papers ranging from first attempts at writing short paragraphs to doctoral dissertations. She has experience editing children’s books, personal memoirs, novels, coffee table books, and newspaper articles.
